We have the pleasure to invite you to attend

the 12th International Scientific Conference

“Electronic Kazan on the Danube-2020:

Disruptive Technologies for Education, Teaching, Learning and Training” 

to be held on June 1-5, 2020

in the city of Bratislava (Slovak Republic)

in cooperation with European Distance and E-Learning Network* (EDEN).

The conference will focus on new paradigms for the development of the information society, the experience of using e-learning and distance learning technologies in educational institutions of different levels, current problems and applied aspects of using IT in modern society, including issues of IT standardization, electronic educational resources design as well as information security issues.

Within the framework of the conference, it is planned to run a professional e-Forum (discussion platform) for e-learning specialists as well as a PhD Symposium for young scholars (postgraduates, doctoral students, PhD students and settled young scholars) "Digital Education for the Future". They will be given the opportunity to present their research related to the conference topics, used research methods and tools, current and expected results as well as to discuss them with the colleagues and submit them to the international expert panel.

A collection of conference abstracts will be published by the beginning of the conference.

Conference materials will be also published in special issues of “IT Applications” and “Ekonomika a Informatika” journals.  The results of the most interesting research presented at the conference will be offered for publication in the “Open Education” journal** (https://openedu.rea.ru/jour) as well as recommended for publication in the indexed repositories.

The best articles accepted for the conference programme will be submitted to the European Journal of Open, Distance and e-Learning (EURODL) https://www.eurodl.org . Such articles should meet the requirements of originality, represent peculiar research and / or particular research results, case studies, theoretical and practical activities on the conference topics as well as research in the field of education and educational technologies. This kind of publications should make a significant contribution to the relevant field of knowledge.

All submissions will be digitally checked against plagiarism.


* European Distance and E-Learning Network - established in 1991, is an international educational association open to institutions and individuals dealing with e-learning, open education, and distance education.

** Journal «Open Education» in included in Russian «List of the leading peer-reviewed scientific journals and editions recommended for publishing the main results of candidate and doctoral theses».

June 1-5, 2020 – Conference Days, in particular:

June 1 – Registration, working meetings of organizing and programme committees

June 2 – e-Forum Opening, plenary session (onboard the ship Bratislava-Vienna-Bratislava), networking

June 3 – e-Forum sessions

4-5 June – PhD Symposium 

5 June – Forum Closing, summarizing.

A cultural and sight-seeing program is planned for the participants during the conference.
